KK Outlet was initially exhibited as a retrospective of 10 years of KesselsKramer. The show was well received and subsequently has traveled to three international institutions. The challenge of this show was updating the work to make it current (KesselsKramer has been operating 16 years) as well as making it relevant for the particular venue and adjusting the design for the space and the budget. In Farnham, the exhibition was held at a university, so we thought it was important to tie the show to the curriculum and organized a series of five lectures featuring ten speakers from different disciplines. In Italy, the exhibition was part of a larger show about Graphic Design, so we made the space into a visual playground highlighting the common link of graphic design. And in Australia, we were limited to what was possible to ship but at the same time had a massive venue to fill, so we optimized the outdoor visuals and turned the large hall into a maze of posters.
