Part of the main slate at the New York Photo Festival, this exhibition gathered fifteen artists from nine countries who treated photography less as sacred image and more as raw material. Photos were collected, reprinted, cut, glitched, erased and sometimes completely undone to explore how image-making tools are changing the medium itself. The show included a printed catalogue and opening events with artists flown in from across Europe, thanks to sponsorship and grant funding that covered travel, shipping, and production. Some came for the work, some for the free beer. All left a little less precious about photography.
