Tot Zover is a museum about death, located within Amsterdam’s De Nieuwe Ooster cemetery. As part of its contemporary art program De Gang, we oversaw a year of photography exhibitions. Seiichi Furuya’s Trace Elements chronicled his wife’s decline and death. Paul Fusco’s Funeral Train showed mourners from a moving train after RFK’s assassination. Ashley Gilbertson’s Bedrooms of the Fallen was expanded to include two Dutch bedrooms, making the project’s quiet grief feel personal, immediate, and closer to home.
